My health care plan
Posted by admin on August 20th, 2009 filed in Politics, Speak UpIt seems like health care reform will go down in history as the single most polarizing issue of a generation. Both sides of this issue are giving lip service to the other and implying that political agendas need to be set aside to solve the problem. The fact is as each day passes both sides are digging their heels in deeper. In the wake of political agenda in a struggle for power the American people are forgotten. This is not a government for the people or by the people, this is a government by political party.
It would be great if we could just agree on one principle, everyone, should have health insurance. What if we started there, without regard to political power, and created a health plan in which every man, woman, and child had health insurance. Why could not every person in this country be responsible for paying for health insurance for everyone. This is not an issue where we need to act like a Robin Hood and let the rich take care of the poor. Simply put we could just take care of each other.
